Knowledge that Strengthens
What is it?
Vignanam is a Welugu initiative designed to strengthen foundational skills for public school students, especially in rural areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, India. It builds on lessons learned from our earlier educational work (chadhuvu) and focuses on creating a positive, engaging, and interactive learning experience for children.
Purpose
Help underserved children discover and embrace their unique abilities, build on their natural intelligence and creativity, and nurture their curiosity so they can reach their full potential.
Communities We Support
Pratyusha Girls Home (PGH) - A tribal group home
For the past 18 months we have been supporting close to 80 kids at PGH for grades between 1 and 10. We emphasize on the foundational skills in core subjects as English, Telugu (Native language), Math along with Critical thinking and Ethics. We also provide basic computer skills and spoken English for higher grade children.
